TIL that RUD = Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly. I like that one. Not sure how I never heard it before....
Seriously though, I hope nobody was in the trailer.

Well, this one did. It was a trailer rather than a truck, so it makes more sense.

Ah, I see. I am actually surprised you don’t see more built out of trailers rather than box trucks.

FWIW, I’m pretty sure Elon introduc ed “ RUD” to the people following his Twitter following the CRS-7 boom .
And no, no casualties, aside from a few people’s wits (“ as in frightened out of Captain Sir” ).

Someone left a knob turned or a valve opened, and the gas found a pilot light?

i guess... tho.. i would have figured that would have blown well before 8 am... assuming it was left open all night
(i also completely forgot about pilot lights as my oven dont have one... and at work if it involves gas of any kind it gets shut proper off at the end of the day.. no gas no lectrickery no flame and no light)

It depends on how slow it was (assuming it was a leak), and how long it would take to hit the right mixture. Then again, could be someone decided to blow the place up for insurance money...
